Winner Procura+ 2021
Province of Zeeland is the proud winner of the category Procurement Initiative of the Year of 2021 Procura + Awards. The Procura + Awards.
The sustainable procurement platform is very proud that the Sustainable Procurement Plan developed with the province of Zeeland was recognized by the jury. In 2022 we will actively share the innovative approach with other organisations to improve it and set the next step in monitoring the effects on the Sustainable Development Indicators.
Finalist Procura 2021
The jury of the 2021 Procura + Awards has revealed the nine finalists for this year. The Procura + Awards, an ICLEI Europe initiative, supported by the EU-funded Procure2Innovate project, recognise excellence in sustainable procurement (28th of September 2021).
In the category ‘Procurement Initiative of the Year’ the Province of Zeeland (the Netherlands) and the City of Helsinki (Finland) made it to the finals. Province of Zeeland is praised for using the SDG’s as the compass of all its purchases. The sustainable procurement platform is very proud to work with the province of Zeeland to develop the SDG procurment kompas.
SDG impact dialogues
One of the reasons for the lack of implementation of sustainability in procurement is the added complexity to the job of the procurement specialist.
MVI platform empowers you with a guide to organize SDG dialogues with multiple stakeholders at the start of a project (25th of september 2021). The guide is developed by Hidde Pierhagen who graduated in september at the TU Delft, Strategic Product Design, chaired by Dr. Rebecca Price.
The workshops of the SDG impact kick-off form a beginning of a practice that makes sustainability an integral part of any project.
Sdg data platform
On 23 September 2021, the new Global SDG Indicators Data Platform has been launched.
The platform includes a new and user-friendly interface to the Global Sustainable Development Goal Indicators Database where SDG indicator data can be easily searched and downloaded (as table and in bulk).
The platform also provides access to the SDG Country Profiles where – with a single click – trends for individual countries across the SDG goals are being shown.
New EU GPP criteria consumables
Check the updated EU GPP criteria for imaging equipment, consumables and print services (23th of March 2021).
This criteria set has been designed to help public authorities reduce the key environmental impacts of printers and print services, and provide specifications and award criteria which cover the entire life cycle.
